How to Place Indicators on MetaTrader 4 XAUUSD Charts

Step 1: Open The Platform Navigator Window

Open the Navigator window as illustrated and shown below - Go to "View" menu (then click) & then select "Navigator" window (click), or From the Standard Tool Bar click the "Navigator" button key or press short cut keyboard keys "Ctrl+N"

On the Navigator window, choose 'Technical Indicators', (DoubleClick)

Step 2: Expand the Indicators Menu on the Navigator

Expand the indicator menu by clicking the expand button marker (+) or double click the "indicators" menu, after that, this button key will then now appear as (-) & will now show as a list as displayed below.

From the Above window you can then place any technical indicator that you want on the chart.

Step 1: Choose the Average True Range button on the MT4 list of indicators as illustrated below:

Step 2: Double click the Average True Range Button Key, and click okay to attach the ATR on the chart as illustrated & shown below:

Edit Indicator Settings

To Adjust the Settings, right-click in the ATR, select properties settings and then edit the properties of the indicator using the pop up menu that appears and then click ok button after you change settings.
