Grid, Volumes, Auto Scroll and MT4 Chart Shift Options on MT4
Grid - MT4 Grid
The MetaTrader 4 grid button on the charts menu option of the MetaTrader 4 Software is used to draw grid lines such as shown below. A trader might prefer to trade with grids on chart or not & will use this button key to show or hide the Grid.
The MetaTrader 4 Grid button key is displayed below (Shortcut for this menu is Ctrl+G)
Volumes - MT4 Volumes Trading Indicator
Volumes in Forex represent tick volumes or the number of times the tick for price changes during a particular time period. The more the tick changes the greater the volumes. These volumes in Forex are used to estimate the number of traders participating in the market.
Volumes are plotted as green bars below each candlestick, & the height of these green bars represent the tick volumes for a particular candlestick. ( Short-Cut button-keys for Volumes: Ctrl+L )
Auto Scroll - MT4 Auto Scroll
Auto scroll option when it's activated will automatically scroll to the most recent candle bar for every chart that's opened. Hence, the most recent information is displayed and as a trader you do not have to scroll to these recent candle bars every time you open a new chart.
Chart Shift - MT4 Charts Shift
This MetaTrader 4 Charts Shift button is used to shift the chart more towards the center, instead of the last candle being right at the right side of the MetaTrader 4 software, the MT4 chart shift button will shift the most recent candle-stick towards the center. Traders prefer to trade with most recent candle-stick shifted toward the mid - this makes it easier to analyze the chart price moves when they're more towards the center.
For example, MetaTrader 4 Charts Shift button is displayed below as an arrow pointing down, by pressing this MetaTrader 4 chart shift button within chart menus(high lighted below by a rectangle), the last candle will shift from the right and move up to this point just as is displayed and illustrated in the MT4 Charts Shift illustrations illustrated below.
MT4 charts menu options of showing grids, volumes & activating the auto scroll option for the automatic scrolling to the most recent candle bar and also the MT4 chart shift button for moving the last candle toward the center.
