Sign in to a MT5 Stocks Account
MetaTrader Stock Account Login
Before placing any trade on the MetaTrader 5 software, you'll be required to log in to your Stocks MetaTrader Account and get authenticated before gaining access. Authentication is checking to see if the details you provide for User-name and Password are correct details for your Stocks MetaTrader Account.
To begin trading on MT5, just click on 'File', then tap and click 'Login' button from the file drop down menu as shown below.

As a trader once you click this login button, then a pop up window will appear prompting you to input your Username and Password as shown below:

Once you in put your User Name & Password you'll then have to choose the server: because this is a demo stocks trading account, for this instance you will then select 'Demo', if it was a real Stocks MetaTrader account/live stock trading account then you would have to choose 'Real' Server on This MT5 option by clicking the drop down arrow on the right side of the above text box.
Then tick box 'Save Account Information'
Then Click 'Login'
Once you click login your details will be authenticated and you will then have access to your MT5 account and when logged in to your stocks MetaTrader MT5 account you can begin to trade & place new trade orders in the stocks market on the MT5 Platform. If you do not have Stocks MetaTrader Account login details you can get these details by registering a demo trading account with a MetaTrader broker.
Once you login you can then check your stocks MT5 account balance and set up your stock trades. To know that you have logged in to the correct Stocks MetaTrader Account you can check the details as shown below: (You will need to open Navigator Window: Keyboard Short Cut Keys, Press Both CTRL+N on your keyboard)

The above example Shows the details of your MT5 demo MT5 account on the Stocks trade platform workspace after you've logged in, whether it is a demo MT5 account or a live MT5 account as well as the MT5 account login number and the MT5 account name.
A demo MT5 account will have a green cartoon icon while live stock trading MT5 account will have a stocks trading cartoon icon, when you open a real account you'll know what this statement is talking about. Just know in the above picture where there is a green cartoon you will now see a Stocks Trading Cartoon.
If you have many Stocks MetaTrader Accounts on the same MT5 Stocks Platform, these will all be listed on This MT5 option, you can double click on the cartoon icon to select the one you want to login to from this place.
