One quick method to check the real time internet connection between your MetaTrader 5 platform and the server of your online Forex broker is to check the MT5 status bars on the MetaTrader 5 platform interface - MT5 Connection Bar on MT5 Status Bar.

The MT5 status bar is used to show if there is a connection to the trading servers or not, if there is a connection to the trading server, then a forex trader can place forex trades to the online forex trading market using MT5 forex charts.
